Soccer Trophy Party

Kaylee was very happy to receive her Soccer Trophy after her long Soccer season. Kaylee enjoyed being the Goalie more than anything. To my surprise she was very good at blocking all those goals that the kids were trying to make. She didn't play to much on the field because she would say, "It hurts my side when I run mom". I really couldn't argue with her since it hurts mine when I run too. I am very proud of my daughter for hanging in there even when she didn't really want to do it. She says that next year we will just watch her cousin Carmen play and cheer for him. Great Job this year Boo!

Senior Prom

I can't even believe that my niece Nicolette is about to graduate from High School. Here she is right before her Senior Prom. She is such a beautiful young lady. I can't help but think back to when she was so little and I was her fun cool Aunt who would take her shopping. I remember her wanting to buy the same exact outfit as I had on. It used to melt my heart. What is even funnier is how now it is me wanting to buy the same exact outfits that she has on. Love you Nicolette.

Hat Day

During Kaylee's Student Appreciation Week at School one of the days was Hat Day! I don't know who was more excited for this day..me or Kaylee. I got these hats for her months ago just waiting for hat day to come. She chose this one and I think it was a great pick. I think she has the perfect face for hats...don't you?

Happy Memorial Day!

The kids were so excited this year that the Memorial Day Parade would be going right in front of the house we are staying in. They were all set with their bubbles and Red White and Blue clothes. At first they were enjoying it and just hanging out until the first people in the parade starting throwing candy at them. That's right candy and at 10:30 in the morning. Their smiles and eyes grew so much bigger and then they were really into the parade. It was a nice way to start our day.

I Scream You Scream...

There is no better way to end the day than with some Ice Cream and your cousins!!!

Time For The Tooth Fairy!

It just occurred to me that I never posted anything when Kaylee lost her very first tooth. Kaylee's tooth was loose for a little over 2 weeks before it fell out. She had a little help with a corn on the cob and a hamburger of all things. When it finally came out she was in school and came running out at parent pick up with it in her little tooth saver. She was so excited and so was I. Did you know that the Tooth fairy brings Silly Bands these days?

Mozzarella Cheese Sandwiches

All the while growing up one of our favorite things to eat were Mozzarella Cheese Sandwiches. There is something about them that is just so good. After quite a few attempts of them on my own they just never seemed to turn out the same way as when my parents used to make them. One day my dad stopped by and had the idea to make them...and then showed me how I had it all wrong! The girls absolutely loved them. Turned out we just made a whole dinner out of it since they couldn't stop eating them. Now every time they see their Pop they want him to make his special sandwiches...and so do I!

Sprinkler Fun!

With the hot weather here now and no pool we are cooling down the old fashioned way.. the sprinkler. I forgot how much fun they could actually be. The kids didn't even bother to get out of their soccer uniforms before getting in. I had just as much fun watching them as they did going in there. (Except for Aubrey...she didn't want anything to do with it)

Allison and Anthony

Congratulations to Allison and Anthony who were married May 7th. This was our very first overnight trip away from the girls and turns out it was on Jeff's Birthday too. The wedding was beautiful and Allison looked fantastic. I am truly happy for the both of them. Now if they can start getting some kiddies out to join the rest of us. We had so much fun that I might even be willing to do a 2 night trip away from the girls. LOL....who am I kidding.

Kaylee

Aubrey

Kaylee 5....Aubrey 3

Kaylee is now becoming my shy girl while Aubrey has become my wild one. It takes Kaylee a few minutes when she walks in to a room to size it up. Aubrey....she likes to walk in a room and own it. It's funny how their personalities are showing so much now. I know they are still little girls but I just can't believe how they are so big right now. Kaylee even has one of her first teeth coming in. Wasn't she just teething? Aubrey starts Pre-K in September while Kaylee will be going to Kindergarten. I miss my two little baby girls who loved to sleep on me while I rocked them. They are truly two of the sweetest little girls. They love to give hugs and kisses and are always telling me they love me. One of my favorite things that Kaylee says to me is that she picked me...she wanted me to be her mom. She makes me melt. They are just too cute for words and I think they are so cute that it is impossible for them to cause me any worries when they are teenagers!

Soccer Time

This Spring I decided to sign Kaylee up for Soccer. She and her cousin Carmen are so excited since they are on the same team. To my suprise she isn't shy at all. Soon as the ball is down she is running for it trying to get a goal. Watching her play makes me see just how big she is. She had her first game this Sunday and did great. She even scored a goal (Ok...so it might of been for the other team but who cares) Then she asked to be goalie and did awesome. She was too cute. I think as soon as she gets used to all that running and it is a lot of running she will love every second of it. We are all so very proud of her. I also have to give a shout out to my nephew Carmen who scored EVERY goal for our team. It is going to be a fun season.

Bunk Beds

No way was our first thought when we were thinking if we should give the girls bunk beds. Soon as we saw how much room they had in their room without them we new it was our only other option. They LOVE them. I think since they started to share a room they have somehow become closer. Of course we need to ask them to stop talking 100 times at bedtime but what else could we expect. They love to sit on the top bunk and love showing their bed off to their cousins. I just asked them when we go to our new home would they like to share a room or have their own bedrooms again and to my surprise at the very same time they said SHARE! It brings me back to the days when I shared with both of my sisters and I remember loving it.
