Merry Christmas 2009

First Time Sledding

With all that snow we recently had what else were we supposed to do...go sledding. This was the first year the girls went. Not to much surprise they loved it. Kaylee was happy and anxious to go down the hill and mostly alone. Aubrey was excited but had to ride this one sled and with her daddy. Daddy did "forget" to jump on the sled one time and Aubrey let us know she was not too happy about that. After 3 hours and a ton of fun with their cousins we decided to pack up and head over to Pop's for some dinner. It was a great day.

Oh Christmas Tree

We finally picked out our Christmas Tree. This month is going by too fast. It was a fun night and the girls really enjoyed going this year. While decorating we made hot chocolate and listened to Christmas music. I love the Holiday season.

80's Night

I took my turn with hosting a Friday night get together with my sister and some friends. We decided to make it a theme night to honor my first night. If you can't tell from the pics it was 80's Night. We had a blast!!! I love that my 17 year old niece even got in on the fun and fit right in with the era that she wasn't even born in. Even funnier that the style of the 80's seem to be back since it was so easy to find the leg warmers.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!!! This year was the second year I hosted Thanksgiving. I really love this holiday since it is the kick off the season. This year Jeff tried out his new toy...a Deep Turkey Fryer. Turns out that is so good my day no longer wants to cook one in the oven. So much for the great smell of a roasting turkey. I hope everyone had as good of a day as I did. I am very thankful to have the family that I do and the endless amounts of love that come along with that.

Bowling Party

Happy Birthday Boo!

November 20Th my baby girl turned 5! I look at her and I can't believe this is her! I just remember having this little baby that I was so scared of and questioning myself every step of the way. Now she will sit next to me and nuzzle and then look at me and say that I am the best mom ever. Which I love to hear. She is truly a sweet little girl. She loves going to school, dance class and her gymnastics. She loves to look for Reindeer tracks with daddy and just loves being a big sister. Now her latest obsession is to go bowling which is what she wanted to do on her birthday. I love you boo.

Happy Halloween

This year the girls had Halloween on Lock! They were Trick or Treating pro's. No need for a stroller this year. Kaylee walked with the big kids and made sure we hit every house that had a light on. Aubrey loved telling everyone she was Tinkerbell and showing them her light up wings. As the night went on Aubrey actually decided not to go to a house because she said "I already got candy!" Kaylee kept showing me her bag saying "Look how much is in there mom!"It was a fun night.

Happy 3rd Birthday Aubrey!

October 9Th my baby girl turned 3 this year. I know I am a little late with posting but things have been crazy. Aubrey was very happy to tell everyone that she was going to be 3 on October 9. In fact, Aubrey is very happy to tell everyone anything they will listen to. She is quite the talker/entertainer. After anyone has spent anytime with her they always seem to say the thing..."She never stops" And how true that is. From when she wakes up to the time her head hits the pillow she is a ball of energy just waiting to get in to whatever she can. She truly brings so much laughter and joy in our lives. Happy Birthday Baby Girl. I love you. (Birthday party pics will be posted soon)

Dancing Class

This year both of the girls go to dance class. Aubrey is so excited to start her first year of class. She keeps talking about her dancing class shoes as she call them. I can't wait to see the recital with both of my ballerina girls in it.

Georgie and Trixie

Jeff took the girls one night to the 4H fair and the girls were talking about the guinea pigs. Not thinking I had said that I wouldn't mind getting them. That night at work I received pictures of our two new pets! Turns out they are very cute and the girls absolutely love them.

First Day Of School

Finally the first day of school came. Believe it or not it wasn't me who was it excited it was Kaylee. She kept asking me how many more days after Wildwood. I can only hope she will still be excited as the years come.

Look Mom....My Ears Are Pierced!

One day this summer Kaylee was telling me that she wanted to get earrings while she was 4 and didn't want to wait till she was 5. So I mention this to Jeff and while I was working that night I checked my messages to see the picture of Kaylee waiting to have her ears pierced. Could you imagine what I was thinking? I was so nervous but quickly received the next pic of her happy with her beautiful earrings. Daddies are the best.

The Showplace

I guess I should of know with a name like "The Showplace" that there was going to be some kind of show at this Ice Cream Parlor I took the girls too. Little did I know that it was the customers who had to put the show on!!!! Long story short lets just say that the girls thought it was so funny when mommy had to stand up in a full dining room and sing...Vanilla, I ordered one scoop of Vanilla to the tune of Maria from West Side Story.

Wildwood 2009

Wildwood was yet again the best time ever. Weather was beautiful, kids were happy, drinks were flowing and adults were happy. From riding bikes to the park to riding the roller coaster and waves there was never a dull moment. I love knowing that these are the days me and my girls will remember forever. I will be posting a link to view a video that I will be working on so check back to see.

Mommy Did It!!!!!!!!!

For the very first time I took the girls to the beach all by myself! It was a last minute decision but turns out it was a good one. They actually played with each other the whole time without any pushing, it's mine or fighting. We took a walk, buried each other and when they asked me to sit with them to let the waves crash on them I couldn't resist. It was also so fun knowing that daddy was working in the building right next to us and we could see him waving to us the whole day. It was so easy that I am scared to push my luck and try it again.

I Did It!

Kaylee has come so far with her swimming and jumping in the pool since July. She amazes me more and more everyday. Just look how happy she is at the end.

Boat Rides

Jeff took the girls out on a boat for the first time this summer. He says they really loved it and kept jumping off in the water. They have such a great daddy to do these super fun things with them.

Beautiful Fantasy Island

Our Friend Baby Coen celebrated his first birthday party at Fantasy Island. The girls had so much fun and I had Gamma come along for the day to help me out. It was a huge success and the girls went on every ride that they could fit in. I heard so many times the Aubrey's belly hurt and just one more ride please. It was a blast.

Dora and Diego

The girls were super excited to see Dora and Diego at the Ice Cream Parlor. They just couldn't understand why they would not come out together. Dora was on for an hour then Diego came out. There was also a special appearance by Ariel again this week. I love to watch the girls faces as they see the characters. It is genuine excitement!

Haircuts

After all the crying and screaming..yes screaming when I would brush Kaylee's beautiful long hair she decided she wanted to cut it like Snow White's hair. She handled it much better than I did. I had to turn away for a second while she couldn't stop smiling. I have to say that it looks very cute and she and Aubrey love showing off their beautiful haircuts as they say.
